Why It Is So Important To Have A Mobile Optimized Website In Today’s Market

If your real estate website isn’t optimized for mobile, you’d be one of the last in the industry with the distinction. Across the country, Realtors and brokers are understanding that having a mobile optimized website isn’t just an extra perk or a fun trick anymore — it’s the way the business is carried out in today’s on-the-go world.

Let me drive the point home by turning to the most recent report from the National Association of REALTORS and Google. In 2013, the two groups got together to look into the ways house hunters, sellers and agents use the internet to conduct their real estate business. The results paint a picture of an exponentially rising trend in digital real estate technology geared toward search optimization, the social network and mobile real estate searching.

Here’s one of the most important findings from the study: “Real estate related searches on Google.com grew 22% year-over-year. Additionally, approximately one-fifth of real estate related searches happen on mobile devices, and Google real estate related searches on mobile devices grew 120% percent year-over-year from 2011 to 2012.” Moreover: “89% of new home shoppers use a mobile search engine at the onset and throughout their research.”

That’s almost all new home shoppers pulling out their iPhones, Androids or tablets and browsing for their next pad. For us at TREM Group, we saw that not only as an opportunity but as an affirmation. We had already been` designing mobile optimized websites for real estate agents and brokers for years. Today, we’re recognized (with the design awards to prove it) as having the best responsive sites in the industry.

The train has left the station, but it’s not too late to jump on. And if you stick with us we’ll keep you ahead of the next real estate technology curve as well. Call us today!
